NDIS in-home support in South East Queensland
Help keeping your home safe, clean and running smoothly, so you can spend your energy on the things that matter to you. Supportr provides in-home support across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich and Logan for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
What this support looks like
In-home support covers the domestic and household tasks that keep your home liveable and safe. For many participants, difficulty with these tasks is what makes living independently challenging. We help. Your team learns how your home runs: where things go, how you like them done, what your priorities are, so they can work efficiently without disrupting your space. The goal is a home that feels yours, maintained the way you prefer it. If you are exploring different types of support, our guide to choosing an NDIS provider in Brisbane covers what to look for.
What it includes

How in-home support is funded under the NDIS
In-home support is typically funded under Core Supports: Assistance with Daily Life, sometimes listed as category 01_002 in NDIS plans. This budget covers the cost of a support worker helping with household tasks that you cannot manage independently because of your disability. If your plan includes funding for assistance with daily life, you can use it for Supportr's in-home support.
Supportr is not currently a registered NDIS provider. This is a deliberate choice that lets us stay flexible and deliver highly personalised support in your home. Because we are unregistered, we work with self-managed and plan-managed participants only. NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participants cannot use Supportr, because that funding type requires a registered provider. If you are unsure which plan type you have, your plan manager or the NDIS can confirm it. Our NDIS information page explains the three plan types in detail, and our article on registered vs unregistered NDIS providers covers what the distinction means in practice. For a practical overview of how pricing works, see our guide to NDIS support costs in Brisbane.
In-home support vs daily living support
In-home support and daily living support are closely related and often used together, but they cover different areas of your life.
In-home support focuses on your household. It keeps your home clean, your laundry done, your fridge stocked and your garden tidy. The support worker manages the domestic tasks that would otherwise pile up: vacuuming, mopping, shopping, washing, ironing, taking the bins out, and light outdoor work. You direct what gets done and how. The result is a liveable, safe home that you can feel comfortable in.
Daily living support focuses on you personally. It covers personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, grooming, medication prompts, meal preparation, and getting to appointments. These are the routines that help you get through the day and maintain your health and wellbeing.
Many Supportr participants use both services, and because the same small team of two to three support workers delivers everything, the handover between household tasks and personal care is seamless. Your team already knows your home, your routine and your preferences, whether they are helping with the laundry or supporting your morning routine. If you are not sure which combination suits your situation, call us on (07) 3184 4445 and we can talk through your NDIS plan and what would work best.

Questions about in-home support
In-home support (also called assistance with household tasks) is typically funded under Core Supports: Assistance with Daily Life, sometimes listed as category 01_002. Check your plan or speak with your plan manager to confirm your funding categories. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can use Supportr; NDIA-managed participants cannot because Supportr is not a registered NDIS provider.
Absolutely. Your home, your rules. We work to your list and your priorities. If you want certain areas left alone, we respect that.
That is our default approach. We build a small team of two to three support workers around each participant and aim for consistency. You will recognise the faces coming through your door.
Generally, we use what you have at home to avoid compatibility issues or allergies. If you want us to bring specific products, let us know and we can arrange that.
In-home support focuses on household tasks that keep your home clean, safe and organised: cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation support and light garden work. Daily living support covers personal care and routine tasks that help you get through the day: showering, dressing, medication prompts, meal preparation, and getting to appointments. Many participants use both services together, delivered by the same consistent Supportr team.
